Oregon

Right after the semester ended I went to Boise to spend sometime with Jeanne. Around the middle of the semester about Octoberish my old roommate was online with her husband and we did a little video chat. Well actually they did not me lol. I couldnt get my silly computer to work for the mic but thats ok. We decided I should finally go visit them in Oregon like I had promised so many times before but never had. When talking we decided I should fly out of Boise instead of Salt Lake so I could spend a little time with Jeanne since the last time I saw her was when I first got back in September. It was good seeing Jeanne has gotten so big pregnant, its wicked cute.

Most of the time I was in Oregon we were snowed in. I guess they never get snow like that at all. We stayed in most of the time because it wasn't safe to drive around. It was nice thought. Much needed after the end of this semester. I was able to relax and read two books of my choice. I never get to do that. It was nice seeing Britt and Jonny and their two kids. I haven't seen Britt since we lived together in Fall of 2004. That was a fun semester. The apartment was tiny but so much fun. Here are a few pictures from my trip.

I was so glad I was able to spend time with Britt, Jonny, Talmage and Evelyn. We didn't get to do everything that we had originally planned to do when I was there, it was okay because it may not of been what we planned but it was what I needed. It was fun we watched some good movies at night. I got to play with both of their little kids, and Britt and I had fun baking stuff like cookies, cheesecake, chocolate chip pumpkin bread. I miss being there already.

Semester is over!!

Fall semester is over and I am so happy. I couldn't wait for it to finally be over. I mean there were a lot of things I liked but I was just ready for it to be over and done with. Finals week I got sick which was no fun at all. I was stuck in bed for 3 days just eating crackers and drinking Gatorade. I'm so glad this semester is over and I can start the next. Just one step closer to graduation. :)~

So I finally got accepted to go to school in the winter!!!! I am so excited. Now I have to get into all the classes I need. I'm about halfway there and trying to get a few more. So its a work in progress. I need just a 23 more credits and I get to graduate with my bachelors. I am so excited. I will hopefully be done in April in Rexburg and walk in July!! Then I think I'm going to study for my GRE and MCAT possibly over during the fall. Kinda scary that this is all becoming real. I have always talked about it but now that it is getting close it weird. I'm happy though. I have worked so hard for this and can't wait to put that cap and gown on to walk the stage. :)

Football 2008

So last Thursday was the end of football for me at BYU-Idaho. It was bittersweet. I've made some great guy friends over the past 3 years being a trainer. This year has been probably the most fun. There is nothing like being able to watch the game from right up in front of the team itself. This year sadly there werent any great injuries on the field like the past two years. I remember my first semester as a "Head Trainer" and first football game I was covering, a guy broke and dislocated his ankle. It wwas probably the best injury I have ever seen. I've seen broken arm, dislocted elbows, plenty of sprained ankles, jammed fingers, and all that fun stuff. Oh yea and some good knee injuries. One I saw last year was a PCL tear. It was pretty sweet and the first and only I have ever seen. After being taught all the tests I have learned to test the knee, it was cool to do the test and then later find out I was right. I mean I had felt ACL, MCL, LCL and menicus tears before but the PCL is so uncommon. When I did the test it just went. I then was able to help hime with rehab. Thats part of what I like the best. I love the rush of helping the injury when it occurs. To be the first on the field. But I also love the rehab aspect as well. To watch that injury heal because of my help. Thats why I want to really start looking into getting my Masters in Athletic Training.

♥ Halloween 2008

This Halloween I went down to Idaho falls after work to see Sammy and Natti. I went down with my roommate Lauryn and we took Sammy trick-or-treating. We met up with Mom, Bonnie, Rachael, Natti, and Sam at the Zoo. (its wicked tiny so if you can even call it a real zoo) It is cute. They had people giving out candy around the zoo. Sam was so happy to see all the animals espically the Tiger. He was so cute he started to roar at it. :)

After the zoo we went back to the house and took Sam to a few houses. He was so cute. He is only 3 1/2 and already knows how to beg extra candy off of people. He tried to tell people that he needed some for his "friends" refering to me and Lauryn. And he also made sure that at the end he always said thank you before he left. He made it a fun night :)

Natti decided she loved leaves. We were trying to take pics and she was more interested in the crunch stuff she was sitting on. Then decided if it was so much fun to play with that it must be good to eat as well. It was hilarious to watch her face when she ended up putting it in her mouth.

Halloween Rexburg Style

Today my ward was having a Halloween party so my roommate convienced me to dress up with her to go. I was hesitant but then decided what the heck why not. She came in with a few things to put on including the headbands (which make the outfit for sure) and the leg warmers. Who has this stuff in stock?!? Lauryn my roommate! It was a pretty lame party but there was free dinner and I was able to have fun dressing up! :)

Adventures with Kristy ♥

Moving back to Rhode Island I started to work at Victoria's Secret right away. Going to a new store is like moving to a new job all together. I had all new everyone except Kristine and Kristy. I met Kristy through Kristine back in Jr. High. Kristy and Kristine knew each other from softball growing up. I remember one time we went to Block Island when we were younger and spent the whole day goofing off. We fell asleep at the beach and the next day couldnt move at all we were burnt so bad.
From working with Kristy we got wicked close. We started to hang out a lot espically after late night floorsets. We would have our nice Denny's runs after a long night at VS. We would sit there and complain a lot and let out all our frustrations from the day. It was good old times. Here are some pictures from the Patriots game that I took Kristy to with me Jess and Mikey. Also a few from when I went back to RI to visit this month and we had lunch at Top Of the Bay.

This summer while working at Top of the Bay I started to work with Rachel Bentsen. I never really talked to Rachel in high school because we hung out with totally different crowds. I hung with the cheerleaders most of the time. While working Rachel and I started to work together a lot and got to know each other well. Its suprising that situations you get into will let you get to know new people. One night after work we all went to hang out. While going out with Rachel she was with Terri and Amanda. They picked me up at home and we spent the night out. I had so much fun that night and realized people are not always what they seem at first. You can miss out on meeting some great people.


Over the rest of the summer Terri and I ended up spending a lot of time together as well becoming really close. We ended up meeting up after work every Monday and would go have a fun night at Picasso's. We would just go watch the Sox games and chat. It became our little tradition. We got to know each other really well. I miss her so much! These are some pictures from one of my first nights back in Rhode Island when I went to visit for Joey's wedding. We were just goofing off and decided to take a few pics waiting for Lynn. I met up with Terri at the Islander for Lynn's 21st birthday on that Monday and then headed to Picasso's for the Sox playoff game. It was a wicked lot of fun and felt like it was summer again.

After spending a few days in Rhode Island I headed off to North Carolina to be part of Ashley's wedding. I was one of her bridesmaids. She looked wicked pretty and we had a lot of fun. It was a crazy few days but that must be expected. Here are a few pictures from her specail day.

Joey & Brigets Wedding

I was able to go back to Rhode Island for Joey & Brigets wedding. It was absolutely beautiful and Briget looked wicked Beautiful. (no suprise though because she is!!)
The wedding and reception was at the Great Hall in Fall River. I went with Danny, Mikey, Emily, Mom & Dad. It was great to be able to see all the family and be able to share this special moment with Joey & Briget.

This picture brings back the good old days when at high school dances all the guys would put the ties on their heads or the girls would wear their dates ties after they got sick of wearing them. Joey decided to teach Pop the tradition. :)

Fall 2008

I am back in Idaho again for another semester of school. I am trying to graduate in April hopefully with my bachelors. If everything goes as it plans then I will be walking the stage by then and moving back to Rhode Island until I start to look at graduate schools. But if life continues the way it has we will see where life takes me. As Gram always tells me "Life happens when you are making other plans." So now I just have to go with it and make the best of everything.
